Doutzen Kroes Does WWF

Doutzen Kroes, one of the world’s most sexy models, supports the World Wildlife Fund. The Dutch beauty and Victoria Secret model promised to go all nude to give wildlife nature a heads up.

The WWF commercial launched today, and it’s a beauty. Yes, there’s a nude Doutzen, but stuff is growing from her naked skin. Don’t worry that’s nature. However not very Victoria Secret like, but it’s the WWF talking to us, so it’s about plants, flowers, trees, baby animals and that kind of nature stuff. Nevertheless the commercial is quite arty, nicely edited, and a relief from all the ‘poor baby animal shots’ we all know from pro-nature charity promotions.

Thanks to Doutzen the launch of the commercial got quite a buzz on the web, and even managed to become a trending topic for a while. I guess a nude Doutzen does get some people very excited. I wonder why?

Nice concept, but it did remind me of that other beauty that offered her naked skin to a brand; Naomi Campbell for Shell Helix.

Anyway, both are brilliant commercials, excellent brand leverage with celebrities and smart execution in both art direction and strategy.
