LEGO – Imagine by Jung von Matt

closeThis post was published 2 years 7 months 2 days ago which may make its actuality or expire date not be valid anymore. This site is not responsible for any misunderstanding.

Although not entirely original here are a few awesome Lego builds from Jung von Matt. You might be surprised how many of these references to TV shows, movies, bands and other pop-culture touchstones you’ll be able to identify given only minimalist clues.

Apparently the cartoon characters represented as colored barcodes are so iconic, or should I say archaic, that our brain has no problem to identify ‘barcodes’ correctly. Pretty much as our brain uses barcoded identification on human faces. I think that’s both funny and fascinating.

So, how many did you get?

Like I said Jung Von Matt’s bar-coded representation of these characters has been done before. Here are a few of those created in 2010 with pixel art by ‘crumpuppet’:

And ‘crumpuppet’ was inspired by this image he found on The Something Awful Forums
